Services

Acknowledgments:

The purpose of an acknowledgment is for a signer, whose identity has been verified, to declare to a Notary or notarial officer that he or she has willingly signed a document.

Jurat/Affirmation/Oath:

The purpose of a jurat is for an affiant to swear to or affirm the truthfulness of the contents of an affidavit. A notary public administers an oath or affirmation to the affiant, who verifies the truths listed in the affidavit under penalty of perjury.

Loan Signing Agent:

A Loan Signing Agent is a Notary who is specially trained to handle and notarize loan documents. A Loan Signing Agent is hired as an independent contractor to ensure that real estate loan documents are executed by the borrower, notarized and returned for processing on time.

VIN Verification:

Florida law requires that, when applying for a Florida title for the first time on a used motor vehicle, the owner must sign a sworn statement that the vehicle identification number (VIN) and the odometer reading on the vehicle are correct.

Certified Copies:

In Florida, notaries are authorized to attest to the trueness of photocopies of certain documents. A notary public may make attested photocopies if the following criteria, found in section 117.05(12) of the Florida Statutes, are satisfied.

I9 Employment Forms:

According to the USCIS Handbook for Employers, employers 'may designate someone to fill out Forms I-9 for you, such as a personnel officer, foreman, agent, or anyone else acting on your behalf, such as a notary public.'

Safe Deposit Box Inventory:

A notary public is authorized and required to be present for the opening of the safe-deposit box, to inventory the contents of the vault, and to make an appropriate certificate of the opening

Safe Deposit Box Inventory:

A notary public is authorized and required to be present for the opening of the safe-deposit box, to inventory the contents of the vault, and to make an appropriate certificate of the opening.

Marriage Ceremonies*:

Florida is one of only three states which authorize notaries public to perform marriage ceremonies. (*Not yet available.)

Witness Services:

Certain documents require a witness (or two) to be present and sign the document. As the notary of the document, we can be one witness (in most instances) and can provide a second witness if required.

Power of Attorney:

A power of attorney must be signed by the principal, by two witnesses to the principal's signature, and a notary must acknowledge the principal's signature for the power of attorney to be properly executed and valid under Florida law.

Wills/Trusts/Estate Planning:

In Florida, you do not need to notarize your will to make it legal. However, Florida allows you to make your will "self-proving" and you'll need to go to a notary if you want to do that. A self-proving will speeds up probate because the court can accept the will without contacting the witnesses who signed it.

Statement of Consent:

This is for an application for passport for child under 16.

Adoption Papers:

The consent to adoption or the affidavit of nonpaternity must be signed in the presence of two witnesses and be acknowledged before a notary public who is not signing as one of the witnesses. The notary public must legibly note on the consent or the affidavit the date and time of execution.

Contracts/Leases:

In Florida, for example, deeds must have at least two witnesses (or be notarized) before being recorded and acknowledged as legally binding. If you're worried that your contract might need to be notarized or witnessed, consult an experienced contracts attorney in your area.

Building/Contracter Permits:

A completed permit application requires the notarized signature of the contractor making application.

Parent Proctoring Form:

If you took the learner's permit exam online, a parent or legal guardian must fill out the FLHSMV parent proctoring form 71144. The form must be signed in the presence of a notary public or a driver's license examiner.

Parent Consent Form:

Teens under 18 must provide a FLHSMV parental consent form 71142 to obtain their learner's permit. The form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian in the presence of a driver's license examiner or a notary public.

General Notarizations:

If you have a document that needs to be notarized, even if it is not listed here, call us at 904-964-2713 with any questions. WE are here to help!
